Background

Remaining human-centered in an increasingly binary world

Yes, is the answer.

John Lennon

Yes!" All possibilities in life, love and business emerge from this single word. "No", on the other hand, simply shuts the door. "No", is seductive because of its simplicity. The word feels empowering, concrete...definitive.

"No" isn't known to hesitate, and people often turn to it to help them feel more in control. Illusory by nature, "no" appears instantly from the ether as an unapologetic mirage depicting a safe harbour in our busy, chaotic world. But, the truth is, ships sail off over the horizon to never be seen again to sound of this word.

I think "yes", on the other hand, needs your commitment. "Yes" welcomes change by inviting risk, and risk has a peculiar way of keeping one's attention. "Yes'', requires investigation and demands action. Only after "Yes" can the best aspects of our nature - such as courage and perseverance flourish and enable us to grow.

These two innocuous simple words dramatically shape all of our lives. I created this website to share with the world just what saying "yes", has meant to me.

p.s. To the scores of people who have greeted me with "no" in the past, and to those that could follow, thank you for making me the grizzly and embattled teddy bear of a man I am today. I owe you more than you'll ever know.

Diversity is understanding

My work often entails I walk in the shoes of others, earn their trust, and better understand how they see the world. Without that vantage point, it is nearly impossible to help solve their problems or serve as an effective advocate. And solving problems is what keeps me going. I like defining them, objectively analysing them, and ultimately eradicating them. The diversity in my skills and experiences has become one of my greatest assets and has enabled me to remain agile, flexible, and contribute value quickly. As far as my own shoes go, they are the well-worn marathon type.

My Career Visualized

An analysis of skills relating to projects.

It's hard to know where you're going, if you don't know where you've been.

Adapt & innovate

My experience in UX spans digital product development, business analysis, research, and digital marketing. While each of these contexts can have different approaches, the goal is usually the same - ensure the customer experience align with business priorities and work hand in hand.

In a team environment, this means that I'm able to draw upon a combination of approaches from each of these domains to contribute towards framing and solving problems. In a world that is increasingly embracing agile approaches, where interdisciplinary skillsets and collaborative problem solving have become the norm, I believe I have a lot to offer.

I consistently strive to improve, and adapt when circumstances change. My perspective has been derived from the synthesis of all of these related endeavours, providing me with a level of insight that is not only interesting, but valuable to those I work with.
